The high rated striker, Erling Braut Haaland, has been signed by Borussia Dortmund. Braut is a part of RB Salzburg.
22.5 million euros had to be paid for the release clause to Braut’s manager, Mino Railo. Over and above that, he further received a payment of 10 million euros.
The nineteen-year-old has been much hyped about. He has been linked with a number of host clubs in the Premier League, and around Europe. The contract is valid until 30th June 2024 and Salzburg will receive a percentage of any further sales.
Manchester United was also interested in the striker and they have scouted him on several occasions.
They have faced competition from other clubs like Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Atlético Madrid, and Chelsea, who also scouted him. overall, twenty clubs were after Braut before Dortmund got to him.
United cooled their interest in the teenager after demands made by Raiola and Alf-Inge Håland, regarding the share of future transfer fee and buyout clause.

Erling is the son of Alf-Inge, former Nottingham Forest, Leeds and Norway midfielder. Erling was born in Leeds.
Erling will join the team on 3rd January before heading for a team training camp in Marbella.
