Kit Harington has officially said goodbye to Jon Snow and Westeros in 2019 as Game of Thrones reached its end on May 2019.
The actor has already scheduled his next big franchise, which could presumably challenge even GoT – the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).
At the D23 Expo, it was revealed that Kit will be joining the cast of The Eternals, which is already brimming with popular celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, and Salma Hayek. The Eternals will observe Harington play Dane Whitman or the Black Knight.
But it is not just the fact that Kit is playing a superhero, but the actor will also be reuniting with his GoT co-star, Madden.
He starred as Robb Stark in the first three seasons of the iconic series. At Ace Comic-Con, the actor was asked about reuniting with Richard in The Eternals.
The kit was quoted as saying, “Yeah, obviously very excited. You know, it was moving saying goodbye to him in Thrones all those years ago. Because even three years in, when he left the show, something did shift and the show became something else.
There was a marker, where losing Richard, it changed the show. And some of my fondest memories on Game of Thrones are with Richard Madden, and he is a wonderful man and still one of my very very good friends.”
“We are very good friends,” Harington also added.
On the other hand, during the D23 Expo, Richard was also asked by reporters about reuniting with Kit to which the star shared, “It is brilliant.
It has been about a decade since we have worked together, I think. So we have moved on a bit onto different things, so I am excited to get back on set.”
The Eternals are slated to release on November 6, 2020.
