“The Blacklist” Season 7 Episode 1: Fans Review and Reactions

“The Blacklist” Season 7 Episode 1: Fans Review and Reactions

Season 7 of ‘The Blacklist’ has released on Friday, October 4, and finally, we can all get to know what Red (James Spader) is planning on doing next.

We watched Red last in the final episode of Season 6, being drugged by Katarina (Lotte Verbeek) and snatched away by her henchmen.

For the months after that, we were surrounded by questions with respect to what Katarina wants, why Red put himself in such a spot of bother, and in what way Liz (Megan Boone) would respond to the fact that her mother has kidnapped her father figure.

In the first episode of the new season, titled ‘Louis T. Steinhil’, we see that Red is still in a lot of spot of bother if not more, as we had expected.

He is still in France and is being subject to a lot of torture, as seen in the trailer, but the questions regarding why Katarina’s role his “capture” does not answer right away.

‘The Blacklist’ fans will know by now that none of the questions in the show is answered immediately. The episode panned out like all the other episodes of the NBC series.

So many plot twists than we can retain a count of, secrets revealed of some almost ancient truths, and more questions that make us question everything we know so far about ‘The Blacklist’ universe.

We walked into this premiere whilst with the knowledge that Katarina is still alive and had Reddington kidnapped for reasons not known, and we leave it with the knowledge of the exact same thing.

It certainly reduces the blow of a surprise premiere if it came with an even more surprising addition to the Blacklist warehouse hospital: a false French warehouse-hospital. But still, when the episode came to a close I waw myself comparing the season 7 premiere to its titular Blacklister: a very impressive illusion.
