Having been teased for what seems like ages at this point, details of the next Batman game may finally be coming into focus.
WB Games Montreal had been teasing for some time now that it is working on a new Batman game.
Now, thanks to a well-known gaming industry leaker named Sabi, it seems we may have a title: Batman: Arkham Legacy.
We would note, the Bat-Family is rather large at this point. We’re imagining that it will be characters such as Robin, Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl, and so on.
The further you get out from the core we start to think they will not be included. Of course, in this age of downloadable add-ons, you never know who might pop-up down the road.
The Court of Owls has been teased extensively as a possible villain for Arkham Legacy, and that, of course, would mean Talons. Expect a lot of difficult fights if that’s the case.
All of this needs to be taken with a grain of salt, but as we said, Sabi currently has a good track record. No, any potential release date has been rumored as of yet but seeing that how long we’ve been without a Batman game, we’re definitely ready for a new one to be released now.
Arkham Knight was the last game in the main series which was released in 2015.
Seeing as the games came out at a pace of one every two years back then, this current wait has definitely been a bit much.
Batman: Arkham Origins was WB Games Montreal’s previous addition to the series in 2013, which served as a prequel to Rocksteady Studios’ 2009 game Batman:
Arkham Asylum. Other entries in the series also include Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight.
We’ll go with the name of Arkham Legacy for now and hope this information means more details are coming sooner rather than later.
