The publisher may allow a limited amount of scholarly sharing, or the fair use exception may allow Diane to share the article for educational and scholarly purposes. However, Diane should avoid sharing copyrighted articles systematically and widely.
Can you share research articles?
You might be allowed to share a single image or an earlier version of the paper, if not the full text. If still in doubt, the best course of action is to ask your publisher or editor. They want to generate reads as much as you do, so of course they’ll be more than happy to help you promote your article!
Does a review article count as research?
A review article is a secondary source…it is written about other articles, and does not report original research of its own.
