Hi, Anti-Scuff sheet is a protective sheet and is used to protect the bat but adding strength. Strength is added not to hit the ball far but to protect the bat . Using Anti-Scuff sheet on edges of bat will protect chipping of wood initally when knocking is not done properly.
Can I knock in a bat with a scuff sheet on it?
The knocking in should be performed with gradual increasing force, but never too hard to cause damage. Fibre tape is applied to the edges of the bat and an Anti scuff sheet is fitted over the top if required. We strongly recommend this procedure.
